Journey
to the Mountain Mother
Leaving Home In Search of a My Place in the World
The
doll represents the young woman who uses her heart, faith and intellect to
gather life experiences. A symbol to fulfill the promise she
has made to
herself, a promise of self discovery, wisdom, and using
an open heart and
mind. Her chest is adorned with a golden circle,
often a symbol of a
woman’s path of life. Her
hands rest over her core, her power center, keeping her centered and
grounded.
She is a sleeping beauty about to awaken to her inner nature. It will only be when she
goes off on her adventure away from her native
surroundings that she
will see herself as somebody else and stand in her
own power.
Before
the quest began her clan performed a ritual to speed her journey. They
presented her with this doll that symbolizes their love and support for
her as she begins her journey.
The
opening of her travel blanket symbolizes the opening of her wings
as she
takes off on a new adventure. The
blanket is surrounded by a fridge boundary reminder her of the safety and
protection of her home.
She
rests upon an image of the great Mountain Mother. Mountain Mother’s face
radiates warm and light reminding her that she radiates
an inner light and
is guided by a spirit that lives in her heart and guides her along your
path. Her many arms symbolize the love and support from those who
encourage her to love, learn and grow and the support from energies unseen
but known at a deep level. All
she need do to be reminded of this is to close the blanket and allow the
loving arms to surround her
She
carries in a pocket a rose doll reminding her of her feminine beauty and
grace and the ongoing life journey in search of love and growth.
Another pocket holds a doll in the shape of Argentina supporting
her journey and yearn for adventure and exploration of the world.
In one
of her pockets is a geo, a protective shield of stone, a reminder of her
inner beauty no matter what or who crosses her path.
